K’Nex Super Mario Blind Bags : Series 2

I know that I said that we would see what I purchased with the money I made on Ebay.  But being a new father has left me with little time to write.  I already have the pictures uploaded and laid-out(and there are quite a few), so I just need to get the writing done.

In the meantime, I have a quick write-up for something I ran across in Wal-Mart last week.

These K’Nex Super Mario mini figures aren’t something new(as you can tell by this being series 2), but damn it if they’re not pretty great.

I don’t think I was ever aware of the first series, but I do remember the Mario Kart Wii blind bags.  And the only figure I really had interest in for that series was Bowser, but he was short-packed(2 per box, I think), and after a couple of times of not being able to find the correct package code, I gave up.

This series has at least 3 figures I have interest in, so I looked up the code cheats online, and decided which one I was going to search for.  From what I gathered during my pack-searching, Boo and Peach seem to be the most abundant.

The Koopa Paratroopa is one of my all time favorite Nintendo characters, and while he is in this series, he is not the first figure I went for.  As you can see from the parts above, I went with Dry Bones.

His likeness is great, and was very simple to assemble.  Dry Bones is a Koopa, so maybe that’s why I like him so much.  We also happen to be in October, so maybe that played part in why I wanted this specific figure.

Not only is he an excellent figure to add to my collection, but he is also a pretty nice addition to our Halloween decorations.

I would like to get my hands on the Koopa Paratroopa, and the Shy Guy from this series(and maybe Wario).  Now, they need to come out with Waluigi and Wart figures(as well as many other Super Mario Bros. 2 characters).  All in all, it’s a pretty neat series with great looking figures, and they cost about the same as blind bagged Lego figures, at $2.97 each, and are a bit larger.
